Final Recommendation Statement: Aspirin Use for the Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease and Colorectal Cancer

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released today a final recommendation statement on aspirin use for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease and colorectal cancer. Evidence shows that low-dose aspirin use is most beneficial for adults ages 50 to 59 years. Adults ages 60 to 69 years should decide with their primary care clinician if aspirin use for primary prevention is right for them.
